I’m Not Wishing You A Happy New Year
I’m not going to wish you a Happy New Year…
I’m going to say get out there and at least try… Challenge yourself… If you have the ability to be reading this blog posting you have already shown you have the ability to change even just 1 thing…. Maybe have a shower (for those who haven’t experienced mental health issues you can’t understand)… Maybe wash the dishes… Sweep, collect the dishes…

AGAIN if you’re reading you know… You know THAT ONE thing you need to choose to do and you know you can go and do it… EVERYONE can do something they can do for ten, 10, TEN minutes…
So here’s the plan… (Bonus… Put on Christian music)
- Pray ask God for help, strength and clarity of mind… Literally “God help me”
- Get off the couch, bed, floor, chair and get to where you need to be (pray again.. you can never pray enough)
- Take a good breath and simply start! (Keep praying while doing the task)
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself in tears at any point while doing your task! It means you are breaking a little bit free from the darkness and are just a little bit closer to who God sees you… You are 1 step further away from suicidal thoughts… CRAZY thoughts…
Doesn’t it feel great? (Don’t sell yourself short!!!)

If you have never asked Jesus into your heart pray these words:
Dear Jesus, I accept that you are God. I believe that you came to earth, died on the cross and rose again 3 days later washing away my sins. I asked you now come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Amen.
Find a church that believes in Jesus as your Saviour. Any church that runs a Celebrate Recovery should be a good starting place.
