If Only One

Anyone with mental health issues knows that there are days you are really dragging at the bottom of the pond. Where you feel you’re all alone and nobody in the world cares.

In Psalm 69:29b David writes “If only one person would show some pity; if only one would turn and comfort me.”

For me it’s when God randomly put the thought in my head very different from what I have been thinking such as “I wonder what’s happening with Jen today” or “gee it’s been a long time since I’ve heard from Samantha maybe we should go for coffee”. I believe that is a chance to be the “if only one”. They may need to meet up or are really need a hug and a shoulder, these are times when I try to remember that I have 2 ears and only 1 mouth and I reflect back to times where either they or others were my “if one only”.

So my question is for who are we the “if one only” ?
